A round, red ball type chicory from Chioggia, Italy. It has variegated red and white speckles which become more intense the colder the weather It is known for its compactness, size, and flavour.
- Growing Instructions:Chicory prefers an open, sunny site, but will tolerate light shade.
It does well on poor soils and needs little fertiliser.
Sow indoors - May to August and plant out in June to September
Sow outside - June to August when the air temperature is above 10°C
