How to get the look
Rich in colour and texture, this exuberant cacophony of earthy hues reaches it’s peak during early summer when the towering ornamental onion and iris, combine with the shooting stars of rodgersia and euphorbia to produce a stunning display. Delightful textural contast is provided by the feathery bronze fennel foliage, the dancing pheasant’s tail grass, and the giant, leathery rodgersia leaves which offer colour and interest from spring until autumn.
Planting tip: Plant ornamental onions in gernerous informal clusters using odd numbers of plants to achieve the most natural-looking effect with maximam impact.
This design will fit into a border 3m long by 1.5m wide.
